  1. Use a variety of hand tools and equipment such as budding knives, cutters, and knives.
  2. Make bench jobs (soil preparation, seed production) of high quality.
  3. Handle production of good quality nursery plants and seeds of fruits, vegetables, and ornamentals.
  4. Soil bed preparation, tillage, irrigation practices, use of good quality seeds, plant protection, and measures, etc.
  5. Prepare the lawn.
  6. Use green canvas.

KNOWLEDGE PROFICIENCY DETAILS:

It is expected that the trainee will be able to:

  1. Define the safety measures for the nursery.
  2. Explain the basic concept of a nursery.
  3. Explain the hand tools and types of equipment.
  4. Describe the bench work such as maintaining of nursery, hand tools, producing good quality seeds, storing, selling, and marketing.
  5. Describe how to prepare and maintain a newly established nursery.
  6. Explain how to establish the new orchards.
