The Ministry of FE&PT will propose a task force to the Prime Minister for approval. This task force will be responsible for developing and executing strategic solutions to address the educational crisis at both national and provincial levels. It will consist of provincial representatives as well as bilateral and multilateral partners and will directly report to the Prime Minister’s Office.

During a National Conference on Education Emergency held in Islamabad, the Prime Minister emphasized his commitment to addressing this critical challenge.

A special meeting of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) should be held on Monday in Lahore, the provincial capital of Punjab, under the chairmanship of Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar, three days after the day in Islamabad, on July 12. According to NCOC, since its establishment, this will be the first meeting of NCOC in any province and such meetings will be held in the provincial capitals of other provinces as well.

The purpose of the meetings is to promote national unity against the coronavirus, better understanding, cooperation, and harmony in the provinces, and to pay tribute to the performance of the provinces against the pandemic. Provinces will brief the NCOC panel on the implementation and management of SOPs for cattle markets on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.

In the meeting, there will be a mandatory discussion on the hot spot areas and the strategy of checking the coronavirus in Punjab. In the meeting, the National Coordinator of NCOC Lt. Gen. Hamud-ul-Zaman, the entire team of NCOC, Federal Minister of Interior Brigadier Ijaz Ahmad Shah, Dr. Faisal Sultan, Chief Minister of Punjab Usman Buzdar, Provincial Ministers of Law and Health, Chief Secretary of Punjab and IG Punjab will join. Representatives of other provinces, Islamabad and other departments will have the privilege of participating in the meeting through video link.
