Online Courses at UT are open now for students. Applications are accepted from all over the world for Fall 2024. The University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin, UT, or Texas) is a public research university located in Austin, Texas. Founded in 1883, it is the flagship institution of the University of Texas system.

According to the research conducted in the fall of 2022, it has also been the largest institution of this system with 52,384 students. As part of the planning process for Fall 2024, the Unlock Your Potential with Online Courses at UT schedule will continue to change as we move into the fall.

These changes may affect some classes’ teaching mode, instructor, time, or location. Please review your course schedule regularly throughout the remainder of the fall for additional updates.

Trim filter. Looking for a winter or May term course? You now can filter based on a term. Click Search Courses Now, select the desired Field of Study (FOS), and in the top section, “Refine your search”, select the desired term.

Beginning in fall 2022, the academic calendar has been revised to better meet academic needs, support immediate and long-term innovation, and support our academic mission, while Ensuring compliance with university guidelines and federal and state regulations. Changes include:

  • A new semester model, with two designated sub-terms in the fall and spring semesters
  • New start dates for fall and spring terms.
  • An extended fall interval
  • The earlier closing date for the spring semester
  • Reduced schedule of final exams

Beginning in Fall 2021, all students will sign a statement of financial responsibility before registering for classes. The purpose of the statement is to be transparent and to help you fully understand your role and financial responsibilities while attending UT Austin.

By signing, you acknowledge your responsibility to pay tuition and fees by the due date and, if you receive financial aid and scholarships, those resources will be applied to your tuition. The Statement of Financial Responsibility for the Fall 2024 semester is now available for you to review and sign here.

Don’t forget to use a UT planner! UT planner, an online class schedule planning tool for students, was implemented a few years ago for the use of all students and now this method reflects the teaching! Planning students allow for a variety of personalized schedule options to find, create, and save a variety of personalized options based on their preferred courses and scheduled intervals.

In addition, the UT planner enables students to compare four scheduled options at a time based on their availability during the day. The UT planner is just a planning device, and students still have to register through the online registration system during their fixed registration times.
