Are you looking for Punjab University Lahore Online Admission Form 2025? The University of the Punjab grants admissions to various programmes through the concerned institutions following the procedure mentioned in the University Calendar. A new programme is initiated by the Head of the concerned department and is approved by the Dean of the Faculty, Admissions Committee of the Punjab University, Academic Council and Syndicate.

Most of the programmes of the Punjab University were approved by the Academic Council on 24 April 1983 and by the Syndicate in its meeting on 3 September 1983. Thereafter, new programmes were added following the prescribed procedure.

At present, the Punjab University is offering admissions to the following programmes in the departments/centres/institutions/constituencies and affiliated colleges as per the rules.

• The online form is available at http://admissions.pu.edu.pk, http://111.68.103.22/admissions w.e.f. 23-12-2024. The candidate shall submit his/her online form along with scanned copies of educational certificates by 19-01-2025 (11:59 PM)
• The written test or interview will be held in the concerned department on the time and date mentioned above, as per the department/institute/centre/school/college.
• Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Punjab University Lahore Online Admission Form Eligibility:

The eligibility criteria for the respective field/discipline (as per the departmental policy) will be provided by the concerned Board of Studies/DDPC Department/Institute/College/Centre/School before admission.

For MS/M.Phil/M.Sc. (Engg/Hons.)/ MBA/ M.Com/ Equivalent:

• B.S. (Hons.) 4 years / M.A. / M.Sc. / B.Sc. (Hons.) 4 years / B.Sc. Degree in Engineering or its equivalent (HSSC/F.A./F.Sc/Grade 12 or equivalent; minimum 16 years of education after 120 credit hours) in the relevant subject from a university recognized by HEC as per the rules of HEC and Punjab University.
• No third division in the entire career.
• Qualifying marks in the entrance test conducted by the university are 50%.
• Qualifying marks in the interview are 50%.

Applications are invited for Punjab University Lahore Online Admission Form to the following programs:

• The online form is available at http://admissions.pu.edu.pk, http://111.68.103.22/admissions w.e.f. 23-12-2024. The candidate shall submit his/her online form along with scanned copies of educational certificates by 09-01-2025 (11:59 p.m).
• The written test/interview will be conducted in the concerned department on the time and date mentioned above/as notified by the department/institute/centre/school/college.
• Incomplete applications in any respect will not be entertained.

Eligibility:

The eligibility criteria for the concerned field/discipline (as per the departmental policy) will be provided by the concerned Board of Studies/DDPC Department/institute/college/centre/school before admission.

For M.S./M.Phil/M.Sc. (Engg/Hons.)/ MBA/ M.Com/ Equivalent:

• B.S. (Hons.) 4 years / M.A. / M.Sc. / B.Sc. (Hons.) 4 years / B.Sc. (Eng.) degree in the relevant subject from a university recognized by HEC or its equivalent (HSSC/F.A./F.Sc/Grade 12 or equivalent; minimum 16 years of education after 120 credit hours).
• No third division in the entire career.
• The qualifying marks in the entrance test conducted by the University are 50%.
• The qualifying marks in the interview are 50%.

For PhD:

• M.S. / M.Phil. / M.Sc. (Engg/Hons.) or equivalent degree with minimum CGPA 3.00 (out of 4.00) in semester system or First Division (60%) in annual system as per HEC and PU rules.
• No third division in the entire career.
• Candidates without thesis in MS/MPhil/equivalent are eligible to apply but they will fulfill the deficiency of 06 credit hours research thesis.
• Qualifying marks in the entrance test conducted by the University is 60%. Test pattern and details/ 60% for scoring gap (Entrance test for PhD)
• Qualifying marks in the interview is 50%.

Category B:

• MS / M.Phil. / M.Sc (Engg/Hons.)/ equivalent degree with minimum CGPA 3.00 (out of 4.0) in semester system or First Division (60%) in annual system as per HEC and PU rules.
• No third division in the entire career.
• Qualifying marks in the entrance test conducted by the University is 60%. Test pattern and details/ 60% for scoring gap (Entrance test for PhD)
• Qualifying marks in the interview are 50%.
• Score a minimum of 3.00 out of 4.00 GPA in Level 7 with additional courses of 9-12 CH in the zero semester. (If both the conditions are not fulfilled by the applicant, admission will be cancelled)
• Candidates without thesis in MS/MPhil/equivalent are eligible to apply but they will fulfill the deficiency of 06 credit hours research thesis.

Eligibility for candidates from other disciplines.

• The eligibility criteria for a particular field/discipline (as per the departmental policy) will be provided by the concerned Board of Studies/DDPC Department/Institute/College/Centre/School before admission.
• The requirements given below are in addition to the requirements already mentioned or mentioned above for admission to MS/M.Phil/M.Sc. (Engg/Hons.)/ MBA/M.Com/equivalent and Ph.D.

For MS/M.Phil/M.Sc. (Engg/Hons.)/ MBA/ M.Com/ Equivalent:

• GRE-Subject Test with minimum 50% marks (conducted by the University in the discipline of admission)
• 6-9 CH of Level 6 deficiency courses after starting the program in the zero semester.

For PhD:

• GRE-Subject Test with minimum 60% marks (conducted by the University in the discipline of admission). Test pattern and details/breakup of 60% scoring in the test (Entrance test for PhD)
• 6-9 CH of Level 7 deficiency courses after starting the program in the zero semester.

Punjab University Lahore Online Admission Form Other Requirements:

• The CGPA on any scale other than 4:00 will be converted accordingly for MS/M.Phil/PhD or its equivalent.
• The candidates whose final results are yet to be declared can apply for admission. However, while applying, they have to select the option “Awaiting Results” while filling the marks of their terminal degree. Furthermore, they should submit their notified result (from the Controller of Examinations, University) on or before the date of interview in the concerned Department/Institute/College/Centre/School.
• 40 marks are reserved for academic qualification (Merit Formula Table is available at www.pu.edu.pk/dpcc) to be included in the merit.
• The admission regulations for MS/MPhil./MSc (Engg./Hons)/equivalent/PhD can also be obtained from the concerned Department/Institute/Centre/College/School. For more information, please contact the concerned department/institute/center/college/school.
• The processing and examination fee, i.e. Rs. 2000/- is required to be deposited in the bank through the online bank challan form generated during the submission of the application. After depositing the fee in the bank, the details (HBL, UBL, or Mobile Banking via 1Bill) are required to be entered in the application. The final application should be prepared to complete the online submission.
• The application (online) received after the due date and time will not be accepted under any circumstances.
• Must be equivalent to the Punjab University (Eligibility of institutions other than Punjab University will be equivalised by the Equivalency Committee of Punjab University). Candidates should apply for equivalency in time to the Equivalency Cell, PU, ​​and provide the same before the interview.
• Equivalency of degrees awarded by foreign universities chartered by HEC Pakistan will also be required. PU equivalency is also required.
• For employment, the candidate should provide NOC from his/her employer on the date of interview. Those who do not submit will not be included in the merit list.
• A foreign candidate should apply through the embassy or consulate of their home country and the Pakistani mission abroad (in case of Overseas Pakistanis). Degrees must be equivalent to NOC and HEC.

Brief Instructions for Online Admission to Punjab University (Spring 2025)

• Fill the online form:
• Complete the personal, academic, experience, and publication sections.
• Upload the required documents (Matriculation, Inter, Degree Certificate, CNIC, Photograph, etc.).
• Select Program:
• Select your desired program from the list provided.
• Pay Fee:
• Print the fee challan, make payment on HBL/UBL/1Bill, and upload the fee receipt.
• Generate Application:
• After paying the fee, upload the proof of submission and click on “Generate Application” to finalize your submission.
• Mandatory Punjab University Entrance Test:
• BS 1st semester applicants are required to appear in the relevant exam.
• Important Note:
• There is no hostel for MS/M.Phil and Ph.D. students (Spring 2025).
• Double check the information before final submission, as changes are not allowed after submission.
• Any wrong information may lead to cancellation of application.
